Say no to dangerous plastic waste processing in our area

Plans have been announced for a waste plastic pyrolysis plant at the former Cleveland Bridge site near Red Hall and Lingfield. It is backed by both Labour and the Conservatives.

We have serious concerns about having a chemical plant which chemically breaks down plastic waste in the middle of our community.

Plastic pyrolysis processes plastic turning it into oil, gas, waste and toxic chemicals.
This site near housing is not the place for it and we need to stop this plan.

I oppose the plastic waste plant at Cleveland Bridge

"We the undersigned, call on Darlington Borough Council, our MP, and the Tees Valley Mayor to block plans for a plastic waste pyrolysis plant at the Cleveland Bridge site, as it risks the health of all local residents."
